I graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge where I received an MA in Social & Political Science. Since then I have worked in business as well as the non-profit sector.

I have experience in a wide variety of disciplines including accountancy, marketing, public relations and writing, all of which prove very useful for producing internal business plans.

My work experience has included:

• being one of the four founders of the Merlin Ecology Fund (now the Jupiter Ecology Fund), which was the first ever UK environmental unit trust

• doing management consultancy work for the Falkland Islands Government

• being one of the three founding employees, and then Secretary, of the New Economics Foundation, now one of the UK's largest think tanks

• writing articles for both national and specialist publications, including Business China, The Industrial Society Magazine, The Guardian, Resurgence and Caduceus

• setting up Mountain Books Ltd, a small publishing company

• fundraising work for a cancer charity

• strategy development for businesses and non-profit organisations.
